The following repository of resources has been compiled by the Developmental Services Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Community of Practice (CoP) and Central Region’s Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee (ARDEIC) to assist you in your learning, and your strategic development and implementation journey through information sharing and knowledge transfer.
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Community of Practice (CoP):
The aim of our Community of Practice (CoP) is to bring together committed representatives of Ontario’s Developmental Services Sector who have a desire to work collaboratively to build knowledge and resources in equity, diversity, and inclusion. We believe disrupting the status quo and dismantling current systems comes from sharing information, challenging current practices, and driving change. Click here for the CoP’s Terms of Reference.
Central Region’s Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee:
Central Region developmental services agencies are committed to building and fostering a more inclusive, diverse, equitable, anti-racist, accessible, and respectful environment for people with developmental disabilities, employees, and board members.
On behalf of the Central Region DS Planning Table, the Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee is charged with developing a framework for action across the seven communities in Central Region (York, Simcoe, Peel, Halton, Waterloo, Wellington and Dufferin) to enable a more equitable experience using anti-Black racism and racial equity lenses. Click here for the ARDEIC’s Terms of Reference.
