Capacity Building in the DS Sector – Enhancing Support for People with Dual Diagnosis/Alternate Level of Care that have Transitioned into the Community

In this four-part learning series you will have the opportunity to learn from Subject Matter Experts and People with Lived Experience with an Intellectual Disability on the following topics: Understanding Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Dual Diagnosis, Crisis Prevention and De-Escalation During Transition, Clinical Transition Planning: Planning Safe and Sustainable Transitions from Hospital to Community, and Fostering Resiliency and Trust in Developmental Services: Staffing and Inclusivity.  This learning series is the first step building capacity in the DS sector for people who have transitioned into the community from Alternative Level of Care (ALC) and will be followed with a Community of Practice.
