Pandemic Emergency Management – Challenges & Solutions

This toolkit of resources was created from a collaborative effort of the Provincial Network and Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (supported by People Minded Business) to help agencies and communities share tactics and mobilize contingency plans to mitigate the potential service delivery disruption caused by the Omicron wave.  The toolkit includes concrete solutions that peer organizations had tested, mostly successfully, to manage the challenges. These solutions, categorized below by the type of challenges they help resolve, are provided here.

Additional resources such as memos, assessment tools and related materials are also available on this page.

If you have a proven solution that you’d like to contribute, please contact Michelle Brooks at mbrooks@phdurham.com.

Tested Solutions for Pandemic Challenges

Below you will find documents containing solutions that were developed and tested by DS sector peer agencies. They are sorted by the challenge they attempt to solve. Within each document you’ll find the steps that were taken to implement, the results achieved, lessons learned and a contact person for more information. Some solutions also include sample documents and supporting templates.
